Role of Chiropractic Care in Sports Injuries

I had the pleasure of attending a seminar this past weekend in Cleveland with a friend of mine who teaches Fascial Distortion Model. Some of you have heard me speak of fascial distortions, but how is it relevant to you?

Sports injuries occur because of overuse, trauma, improper training techniques or insufficient warm-up and stretching. Some of the most common injuries are diagnosed as: Sprains and Strains, Tendinitis, Dislocations, Shin Splints and Herniated Discs.

Fascia surrounds all joints, bones, muscles, septums, ligaments and groups of each. Many of the above issues are initially fascial distortions or have some components of them. You can come in when the injury first happens, or wait until it has been there a while, settled in and range of motion has slowly declined. The longer you wait, the longer it may take to heal.

More will come on this topic…
